Financial and Compliance Analyst

PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role will work across the department to support the financial operations of the company.  Key responsibilities will be focused on Treasury, Compliance, and other general Finance/Accounting duties.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.
 
More specifically, the employee owner will:

  • Prepare and Distribute Daily Cash Report
  • Prepare Daily Cash Reconciliation
  • Perform Month End Bank Reconciliation for all cash accounts
  • Assist with Payroll Tax Filing Issues
  • Prepare and File Sales and Use Tax Returns
  • Manage State of Iowa Grant Filings from Preparation to Receipt of Cash
  • Prepare and File Annual Business Property Tax Filings
  • Complete Government Surveys
  • Assist with Various Income Tax Requests
  • Assist with Insurance Renewals
  • Prepare Monthly Reports and Journal Entries as Needed
  • Complete Monthly Account Reconciliations as Assigned
  • Assist with Annual Financial Statement Audit Process
  • Facilitate Financial and Costing Analysis as Needed
  • Manage International Payment and Shipment Reconciliation Process
  • Perform Ad Hoc Analyses and Special Projects as Required
  • Continually Participate in Additional Training Related to the Job
  • Perform Extra Assignments in Other Areas and Related Task Assignments in the Work Area
  • Continually Seek Opportunities to Improve Processes
  • Maintain Documentation for Processes owned by this Position
  • Independently Balance Multiple Concurrent Assignments with Shifting Priorities
  • Communicate Positively with Supervisors, Fellow Workers, and Internal/External Customers

  • Computer proficient with strong Microsoft Excel formula and spreadsheet navigation skills; At least 1 year of Excel experience
  • General office skills

  • Professional attitude and conduct with the ability to work well with others

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, one to two years related experience in these areas preferably in a manufacturing environment.
