Days/Hours of Operation: Monday - Saturday
Description: The Operations Management Trainee is a pathway to a possible Front Line Operations Manager position. You will begin by training and operating the dispatch department for Midwest Sanitation. You will be responsible for the coordination of the utilization of drivers, trucks and containers to provide prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. After evaluations of work progress, there may be management opportunities involving leading teams of people, face-to-face interactions with customers and involvement in helping Midwest Sanitation expand our profitability.

Minimum Qualifications:
• 2 Year degree or higher in business or related fields or High School Diploma and 4 years of relevant work experience
• Exhibit basic personal computer skills
• Legally eligible to work in the country
• Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience: 5 Years of relevant work experience in progressive and successful business to business sales.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Principle Responsibilities:
• Create and maximize capacity by ensuring productive use of all assets, equipment and drivers
• Ensure maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding Company-established goals by successfully routing vehicles.
• Assign loads to drivers based on designated routes and driver location.
• Prepare, update and dispense the daily route schedule.
• Gather and maintain route sheet documentation for pickups, route completions and driver locations.
• Ensure route completion via the driver check-in process
• Courteously interact with customers, as required.
• Report driver performance issues or concerts to appropriate management for resolution.
• Regular review of best practices to enhance daily performance.
• Communicate regularly with Customer Service Representatives, drivers, helpers and all levels of management as needed
• Collaborate with all frontline managers to learn the day-to-day business operations.
• Develop knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety programs and systems; operational business processes, systems & tools performance management; dispatch & routing; fleet maintenance processes

Pay: $55,000-$60,000/ Annual Salary
The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training.
