Title: Account Manager
Reports to: President of the Company and Site Manager
Based at: Pella, Iowa
Position Type: Full Time-Non-Exempt
Days/Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday

Description: The Account Manager will be responsible for day-to-day inside commercial sales, account retention and review for the company. This is a field-based position which involves but is not limited to managing existing relationships to achieve budgeted sales goals, implementing retention strategies, utilizing strong negotiation efforts to preserve business, and secure contract agreements from previously non-contracted customers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 Year Degree or higher in business and related fields OR High School Diploma and 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Exhibit basic personal computer skills
  • Legally eligible to work in the country
  • Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5 Years of relevant work experience in progressive and successful business to business sales.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a high level of Customer Satisfaction
  • Communicates to and works with Management, Drivers and Customer Service Representatives to solve unique customer issues.
  • Effectively manage prospects by developing sound marketing plans and maintaining key information in the company database.
  • Meet or exceed sales call activity goals for proactive account retention.
  • Always monitor and be responsible for volumes, pricing, margins, visitation schedules, and new business leads with the goal of growing volume and margin.
  • Focus on Midwest Sanitation growth by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing and competition.  Effectively communicate pricing and service strategies, proactively seek out business opportunities for Midwest Sanitation referring internally as appropriate.
  • Effectively use Midwest Sanitation sales productivity software tools to integrate and cross sell opportunities.
  • Use in-depth industry and company knowledge, prepare complex proposals, and make recommendations on equipment and service options.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
  • Should be able to occasionally stoop/bend.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands and arms.
  • Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 50-100 1bs of equipment with assist available.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision.

Pay: $60,000-$65,000/ Annual Salary
The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education and training.
