Job Summary:
LDJ Manufacturing is home to the Thunder Creek Equipment brand of premium diesel fuel and service trailers. We are an industry leader known for our uncompromising quality and reliability. LDJ Manufacturing is seeking a Recruiter with experience in the talent acquisition process, from sourcing, screening, and hiring great employees that are a good fit for our core values and culture.  A successful recruiter will collaborate with managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs.  They will also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media, networks, and employee referrals. The responsibilities of the Recruiter are to ensure our company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
 
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

  • Proactively partner with team to understand short-term and long-term talent needs.

  • Build and promote company’s reputation as a “great place to work”

  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.

  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges, etc.

  • Source and recruit candidates by using web-based technology, databases, social media, etc.

  • Attends and participates at recruiting events (job fairs, college fairs, etc.).

  • Screen candidate resumes/applications to create shortlist of qualified candidates.

  • Conduct interviews and assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and aptitudes.

  • Maintain applicant tracking system and recruiting reports.

  • Create offer letters, arrange pre-employment testing, and secure background checks.

  • Effectively administer the onboarding process to ensure a positive new hire experience

  • Track and report key recruiting and hiring metrics.

  • Ensure all activities are compliant with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.

  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.

  • Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods.

  • Coordinate and support company events as needed.

Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills/experiences:

  • Proven track record and work experience as a recruiter.

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of staffing principles, procedures, and laws.

  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, interviewing skills.

  • Strong people skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.

  • Good judge of character and ability to accurately assess “fit” through resume and interactions.

  • Strong work ethic with integrity and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.

  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

  • Possesses positive outlook and enjoys collaborating with others and working as part of a team.

  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing innovative ideas and solutions.

  • Highly proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and business software.

 
Education & Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of human resources, talent acquisition and interviewing experience highly preferred.

  • SHRM-CP preferred

 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will be a strong collaborator and influencer for the business through the development and execution of a recruiting strategy that ensures the company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees that supports growth goals and culture.

Travel
Travel requirements are limited but will be required occasionally for job fairs and college recruiting.
