IT Project Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position will oversee the management of multiple IT projects simultaneously to ensure project success. Upgrade and enhancement requests will be managed based on business priorities. Proactive review of current processes to identify current or future opportunities.  Use knowledge gained from managing a project to be a resource for those areas for process and technical questions.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
 
More specifically, the employee owner will:   
Provide leadership, tactical planning, and scope analysis for execution of projects by applying technical information systems knowledge to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Estimate cost and schedule for information systems projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the technical requirements.
Negotiate and verify deliverables with stakeholders - external, internal, across functional organizations.
Understand the technical domain to identify task dependencies.
Be a resource as needed for XA questions.
Identify and coordinate XA upgrades along with researching new functionality for possible enhancements.
Proactively manage changes in project scope using change management, identifying potential issues, and devise contingency plans, as necessary.
Create documentation for internal IT Team and business counterparts.
Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Perform training to the user community of current systems or system enhancements
Identify potential project risks and respond by developing risk mitigation strategies, corrective actions, risk acceptance recommendations or avoidance for all aspects of the project.
Effectively address project concerns with management.
Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
Demonstrate regular, consistent attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS

Detail oriented, thorough, organized, with the ability to manage projects on time and within budget.
Ability to work and communicate with individuals and groups at varying levels of the organization.
Self-starter, motivated, critical thinker, solid work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot, setup, and configure software to meet business specifications.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge and experience of ERP systems, preferably within manufacturing industries.
Ability to develop recommendations to promote highly complex ideas or services across IT.
Required to interpret, clarify, or convey highly complex technical information to aid understanding.
Ability to exchange highly complex technical or nontechnical information with internal and external audiences.
 
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS 
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or 
Equivalent from a four-year college in Business, IT or other related field; or 
Five plus years related experience and/or training
