Our Member Relations Specialist is a part-time position with evening hours. This position is important to the efficient and effective operations of our martial arts school and is responsible for taking care of our guests, members and their families. Our Member Relations Specialist must embody our friendly and welcoming atmosphere and enjoy talking to and assisting both children and adults. In addition, our Member Relations Specialist will perform nightly light cleaning and restocking duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, including having a caring and friendly attitude and a passion for helping others, and will possess the following skills and attributes:

Basic-Intermediate computer skills
Ability to climb stairs and lift 30 lbs.

Office Duties Performed by the Member Relations Specialist

GENERAL: Explain programs offered Process paperwork/information in school management software
Input / maintain guest waiver information
Maintain member attendance records
Add payment information, create and pay invoices
Member relations: Greet members and prospects
Explain program options / schedule
Award belt stripes
Schedule trials and private lessons
Handle new student enrollments
Complete/explain intake forms and membership agreements
Process payment
Input recurring billing
Take student photos
Measure/fit uniforms
Write names on belts (white belts only)
Tie on belts merchandise, dust and restock shelves
Process merchandise sales Input into system
Take payment / deliver goods
Maintain bulletin board(s)
Send member correspondence “We miss you” text messages
Write postcards for new and missing students
Light cleaning dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, wiping down toilets and sinks in bathrooms
Miscellaneous: Restock toilet paper and paper towels Refill disinfectant spray bottles Fill water cooler / restock beverage refrigerators

Other duties as assigned

PELLA JOB HOURS: Mondays: 5:15 - 9:15 pm, Wednesdays: 5:15 - 9:15 pm

PAY: $12.00 per hour
