Relationship Portfolio Associate – Jr. Loan Officer (Monroe)

We are seeking a full-time Relationship Portfolio Associate to join our team at our Monroe, Iowa branch. This entry-level lending position provides support to the Commercial and Ag Lending Department while also assisting with customer service transaction coverage as needed. The Relationship Portfolio Associate will gain a strong understanding of Leighton State Bank’s lending processes and procedures while assisting with the analysis, servicing, and closing of commercial, agricultural, small business, and other lending relationships. This position works closely with lenders to support portfolio management, evaluate credit opportunities, and facilitate successful loan transactions.

Responsibilities Include:
 

• Positively respond to customer inquiries and make relationships; by phone, email or in person; Resolve issues and develop solutions with customer’s accounts.
• Assist in branch support by completing basic bank transactions and respond to basic bank customer inquiries.
• Assist loan officers in accurately and efficiently processing and completing quality loans
• Assist loan team with timely and accurate completion of credit presentations, including analysis of appropriate data per credit policy, bank procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Gather, organize and evaluate information required for the Loan Officer to make a quality loan decision and provide support for the loan closing process
• Record transactions promptly, accurately, securely and in compliance with bank procedures and regulatory requirements
• Communicate proactively with co-workers, borrowers and third parties to ensure loan related tasks are completed according to established deadlines
