Register here

This Top Five series will feature experts in human resources, marketing, accounting, IT and others. They will introduce five things on certain topic that will help you be successful in your small business.

Learn from an entrepreneur themselves who went from having a 500 credit score to growing a $10 million dollar business. They will share five areas that helped them to be successful including growing business, leadership techniques, marketing strategies and financial decisions and maintaining your company's success during a pandemic.

Chandler Steffy is a business owner entrepreneur raised on a farm in North Central Iowa talking to pigs and chickens.  Working has been the cornerstone of his life since he was first able to walk.  His ability to combine a farmer work ethic to those childhood dreams have helped him grow in his professional career since the mid 90’s.

In 1990 Chandler headed off to college in Ohio on a small sports scholarship with aspirations to get into the medical field.  During his college years he was able to travel the world through sports as well as learn and put to action life values such as Creativity, Passion, Determination, Empathy, Loyalty, Hard work, Dedication to a cause and so much more.

Life challenges during late college fortunately pulled Chandler away from schooling and earning a degree.  School was never Chandler’s favorite activity. His desire of hands-on learning and being in the open world and absorbing life from around him is what makes him, Him.
It was in the 1996 Chandler found construction. New home construction Framing contractors were at the time and still to this day are in a way the “Wild West” of professional careers.  This was home to him and where his dreams began to become real.

In the Fall of 2012 Chandler started an Exterior Restoration Company specializing in teaching and educating property owners about the condition of their property.  Over the past 8 years this business has grown from 59 customers his first year to over 750 customers in 2020 and over $12 million in gross revenue. He has 26 team members who support up over 75 in the field contractors on a daily basis.

His business has been awarded multiple awards and recognition. In 2018 the were invited by Owens Corning to be one of their Platinum Preferred Contractor which placed them in the top 1% of contractors nationally. In 2019 they were nominated as a top 3 finalist for business of the year in Urbandale, Iowa.  In 2020 the were awarded Best in Class Contractor and nominated as a finalist in Best in Class as Up and Coming Business in Urbandale.

His business has impacted the communities they work in.  Chandler silently has established relationships deep in the community.  One partnership is with Iowa Juneteenth where they have donated and helped financially the success of the organization.  This relationship has led to donations to multiple inner-city churches where they have provided new exterior renovations from simple fixes to multiple $30k plus projects with no money required from the churches.  They have been involved in the extremely small nonprofits to some of the largest in the community.
Chandler enjoys sharing the path that his personal and professional life has taken.  His ability to share these successes and failures has led many others to chase after their dreams.
