Top Five for Small Business: Improve Your HR IQ - Plain Language Advice for Avoiding 5 Common HR Mistakes

This Top Five monthly series hosted by the Greater Des Moines Partnership which focus on issues small businesses face daily.  Each month features a topic such as human resources, marketing, accounting, IT and others. The featured speaker from each event in the series will introduce five key takeaways that will help your small business be successful. 

This month focuses on language advice for avoiding 5 common HR mistakes.
In this presentation, we will discuss five common HR related challenges that businesses may experience and strategies to avoid those pitfalls. Audience members will learn about frequently occurring HR issues for small business that could cause broad ramifications if not considered or corrected.

Anne Barry, SHRM-SCP is Vice President, Strategic HR at Aureon HR, overseeing the organizations’ HR operations. Anne possesses more than 10 years of HR and Leadership experience, currently leading a team of HR professionals who work with organizations to align their HR strategy with organizational objectives. She is focused on creating innovative ways to engage employees and help organizations establish a culture that leads to high performance and success. She earned her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Drake University.

The PACE Alliance has arranged these events to be simulcast live each month at Central College from 12-1 pm.  There is no fee to attend the group simulcast.  If you would like a box lunch from Central Catering they are available for $10 (box lunch RSVP's need to be made to the Alliance office by 9 am the day prior to the event by registering above or calling our office 628-2626). 

You may also watch at your desk by registering for the simulcast here (there is a $10 fee).   The Top 5 for Small Business is presented by the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
