Have you ever wondered about natural dyeing and the plants needed to do this? We are offering 2 sessions with each set of participants meeting twice a week for 6 weeks to work in this learning garden. During our time, we will take care of the plants needed for our art projects. While tending the garden we will learn how plants and people interact together. New techniques, skills, and processes will also be acquired. We will make art projects that connect us with those around us as well as the plants needed to complete our artistic efforts. Our projects will include journal making, papermaking, Anthotype sun printing, pounded flower pictures, leaf print-making, eco-dyeing aprons, and tote bags. For ages 7 and up, pre-registration is required.
