Free Film Screening: Handmade Future
The Work of Our Hands will host a free public screening of the award-winning film Handmade Future on Tuesday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. at Central College in the Maytag Student Center, Van Emmerik Studio.
The event celebrates Fair Trade Month and invites community members to explore the impact of handmade goods, artisan traditions, and responsible trade.
Handmade Future follows artisans in six countries as they protect cultural heritage, confront complex middlemen, and advance responsible trade. In a world increasingly driven by fast, inexpensive production, the film highlights the people working to preserve traditional craftsmanship and build a more thoughtful, connected global economy.
