Job Description


Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the Sales Coordinator will play an essential role in the successful growth of the sales department – responsible for providing full-scale sales support to Inside Sales, the field Territory Sales Managers (TSM) and the Sales Manager.   The Sales Coordinator will provide thorough and decisive administrative and sales support including data collection, compilation, research, and reporting, while assisting with new product launches, program implementation, merchandising and trade show support.  This role requires a passionate sales/marketing support professional with an eye for detail and an unrelenting drive for results.  They must be a creative collaborator and dependable team player who can help drive sales force productivity and customer growth in a dynamic and expanding market.  This role works independently and as part of a team within Sales and cross-functionally with Marketing to ensure sales objectives are achieved.

Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide full-scale administrative sales support to VP Sales and TSM’s.
  • SalesForce CRM database administration.
  • Provide regular sales reports and metrics as required for management reporting.
  • Lead in the creative development of presentation materials.
  • Execute sales/marketing communication and actively following-up with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal results are achieved and program elements concluded.
  • Deliver and monitor sales initiatives and programs to TSM’s.
  • Provide project management support as required.
  • May assist in the planning, implementation and representation at industry trade shows and company sales events.
  • Administration and communication of all sales programs including goal tracking and report development.
  • Provide cross-functional sales support in collaboration with Marketing to ensure all internal and external customer needs are met.
  • The Sales Coordinator role is a dynamic position and is often assigned other duties as required to support the team, depending on account specific customer needs.
  • Maintain Customer Master and Order Master files.
  • Finish goods shipping: Coordinating product shipments, at the most cost-effective method, for completed customer units and units shipped to trade shows.
  • Assist Sales Manager with the sales budget administration, tracking and auditing.
  • Any additional duties assigned by the VP Sales
  • 10% travel required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • College graduate preferred - or combination education and experience in relevant field.
  • 4+ years progressive administrative experience in a sales or marketing environment preferred.
  • Ability to respond effectively to multiple priorities and execute quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate closely with multiple departments, directors, staff.
  • Ability to use resources effectively to generate solutions; take initiative when resolving problems.
  • Sales drive and results focused.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including timely and detailed follow-up.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) with emphasis on Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge and/or experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.  SalesForce CRM Experience preferred.
