DESCRIPTION:The Pella Professional and Business Women's Forum (PPBWF) April meeting will feature Carol Van Klompenburg\, a Pella native and gardener. She will read selections from her recent book Tending Beauty: Forty Moments in My Gardens. She has a master's degree in theatre arts and has performed across Iowa under the Iowa Humanities Board. Tending Beauty invites readers to walk through a year in the gardening life cycle as Van Klompenburg guides tender sprouts toward the light\, makes war on weeds\, chases chipmunks\, marvels at butterflies and relishes the beauty of flowers. The April forum will be held at Central College in the Graham Conference Center - Graham 1 from noon to 1pm. Lunch is provided in the $12.00 guest fee. Visitors are welcome! Members meet the third Thursday of each month (except August) for networking and learning from featured speakers. Membership is open to career-oriented and business women of all ages who are interested in enhancing their personal and professional life and forming valuable connections with other women in the community. \n\nPPBWF helps members to:\n\n - increase awareness of relevant issues \n\n - share ideas - discuss problem solving techniques \n\n - connect with professional development and community opportunities
