DESCRIPTION:The Pella Professional and Business Women's Forum (PPBWF) September meeting will feature guest speaker Bob Kroese\, CEO of Pella Regional Health Center. The forum will be held at the Pella Golf and Country Club\, 600 Elm Street in Pella\, from noon to 1pm. Lunch is provided and the cost is covered in the $12.00 guest fee. Visitors are welcome! Previously\, he worked for 10 years as CEO of the Madison Community Hospital in Madison\, S.D. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and past chairman of the South Dakota Hospital Association. During his years in Iowa\, Bob held and continues to be part of numerous board positions within the Iowa Hospital Association and currently serves on the Economic Development Council for PACE.\n\nDuring his tenure at Pella Regional\, the hospital completed many major renovation projects and numerous expansion projects. Most recently\, the hospital completed the Family Birthing Center on the new third floor above the Medical/Surgical and Intensive Care Units in 2017 and also expanded our medical clinics to the communities of Ottumwa\, New Sharon and Prairie City in the last few years.\n\nBob received his undergraduate degree\, with majors in biology and medical technologies and a minor in chemistry\, from Northwestern College in Orange City\, Iowa\, and completed a secondary teaching certificate at Sioux Falls College following graduation. He completed his master's degree in hospital and healthcare administration at the University of Minnesota in 1985.\n\n\n\nPPBWF is a networking and professional development organization for women in Pella and the surrounding area. Members meet the third Thursday of each month (except August) for networking and learning from featured speakers. Membership is open to career-oriented and business women of all ages who are interested in enhancing their personal and professional life and forming valuable connections with other women in the community. \n\nPPBWF helps members to:\n\n - increase awareness of relevant issues \n\n - share ideas - discuss problem solving techniques \n\n - connect with professional development and community opportunities
