Speaker Dr. Heidi Vermeer-Quist will be speaking on the topic "Gardening Lives with Best Practices of Psychology, Rooted in Relationship with Christ." Mental health is a lot like gardening. We need good soil (mental health) in order to grow, grief (the emotion that comes with loss) feels a whole lot like pruning; as we work through grief, it can create an opportunity for new growth. We have a loving Master Gardener. He shows us how to live, provides everything we need, and is always with us through the mountains and valleys of this life. The best practices of psychology are naturally integrated into this spiritual gardening perspective.
