Tassel Ridge Winery presents Red Wine Lovers' Tasting and Wine Dinner
6:00 p.m.—Wine Tasting in the Cellar
6:30 p.m.—Dinner Seating
Join us for a very special dinner evening beginning with a visit to the Tassel Ridge Winery cellar where Winery owner, Bob Wersen, will take tastes of wines directly from the barrels. He will discuss how the wines were made, and then you will be able to taste the difference a year of barrel aging makes in a wine. Before dinner is served, Bob will share the different wine making techniques used to make the Tassel Ridge 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2013 Iowa Marquette. Sample each of the four wines and select your choice to pair later with your entrée.
Dinner begins with a Spinach, Arugula, Roasted Beet, Dried Cranberry, Goat Cheese, Toasted Pecan, and Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad paired Tassel Ridge La Crescent followed by Roasted Petite Shoulder Tender with Marchand de Vin Sauce, Polenta Cake, and Green Bean Amandine paired with your choice of 2009, 2010, 2012, or 2013 Iowa Marquette. For dessert, a Cheese and Chocolate Plate with Salted Nuts and Dried Fruit will be paired with Tassel Ridge Finalé Iowa Red.
