Tassel Ridge Winery presents Red Wine Lovers' Tasting and Wine Dinner
Join us for a very special dinner evening beginning with a visit to the Tassel Ridge Winery cellar where Winery owner, Bob Wersen, will take tastes of wines directly from the barrels. He will discuss how the wines were made, and then you will be able to taste the difference a year of barrel aging makes in a wine. Before dinner is served, Bob will share the different wine making techniques used to make the Tassel Ridge 2009, 2010, and 2012 Iowa Marquette. Sample each of the three wines and select your choice to pair later with your entrée.
Dinner begins with a Spinach Salad made with Dried Cranberries, Blue Cheese, Almonds, and Raspberry Vinaigrette paired with Tassel Ridge Candlelight and is followed by Roasted Petite Shoulder Tender served with Garlic Rice and Grilled Asparagus and paired with your choice of 2009, 2010, and 2012 Iowa Marquette. For dessert, Dried Cherry and Walnut Bread Pudding with Crème Anglaise will be paired with Tassel Ridge Frost.
Wine tasting begins at 6 pm. Advance prepaid, non-refundable reservations required by Thursday, March 262. Call the Winery at 641.672.WINE (9463) to make reservations.
