PPBWF Forum featuring Tami Hemmer
The Pella Professional and Business Women’s Forum (PPBWF) November meeting will feature guest speaker Tami Hemmer with Weighted Comfort for Kids. Tami started making her own clothes in junior high and has always loved fabric and sewing. She has been quilting for over 15 years and started making weighted blankets about 5 years ago with Sharing the Weight when she saw their story on TV 8. She started a group at Third Reformed church in Pella. She is now up to 6 groups all over Iowa. At the beginning of 2019 most of her groups switched to Weighted Comfort for Kids. Weighted Comfort started in 2015. They take orders for the blankets instead of a huge waiting list. Each group now ships out their blankets upon completion. From date of taking the order the family will have their blanket within 4 months. The November forum will be held at Central College Graham Conference Center 1 from noon to 1pm. Lunch is provided in the $12.00 guest fee. Visitors are welcome! If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Tammy Sauer at tsauer@midwestone.com by Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
