Multiple Doors : Accessing Labor Pools Beyond Iowa's Borders - Marion Co. Employers Council of Iowa
This event is open to any employee or business owner that works with/in Human Resources (HR). This includes professionals who may have human resources as their primary job duty and those who may only work with HR on a very limited basis. ECI meetings are held bi-monthly and provide an opportunity to network with individuals from around Marion County who work in/with HR, and learn about current HR issues that affect every business. Salad bar lunch is available and at your own expense.

Presented by Edgar Ortiz, Local Veteran Employment Representative, IowaWORKS/IWD
Edgar started with IWD as a Workforce Advisor in 2014 helping jobseekers with employment services in the Des Moines office. He transitioned to his current role as LVER in 2016 and spends his time promoting Veterans through a variety of State and Federal outreach initiatives. Before working for IWD Edgar was the Director of Programming for the Latino Community for Boys Scouts of Iowa. Edgar Ortiz is a Veteran himself serving 16 years in the US Army as a flight medic completing 2 tours each in Afghanistan and Iraq.
