Fine Art Exhibition at the Pella Commuity Center

Myriam Gray, local artist, will be exhibiting her fine art production at the Joan Kuyper Farver Art Gallery from November 8, 2017, to January 3, 2018. A selection of her work on Iowa landscapes, Pella downtown architecture, and floral compositions will be displayed. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Community Center building at 712 Union Street, Pella IA. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm. No admission fees. An open house will be held on Saturday November 11, 2017, from 1 to 4 pm. You are invited to come meet the artist and discover her work while enjoying refreshments and light snacks. About the work: Myriam uses vibrant colors to celebrate the humble and unsung beauty of the Iowa countryside.  With the eyes of a transplant, she captures the imposing presence of the sky above the textured layers of black dirt, prairies and crops. Her media of choice includes oil pastels, dry pastels, and latex paint.
